The Town of Cottesloe Community Grants Program for the 2025/2026 financial year is now open!

The Town of Cottesloe has been successful in securing funding from the Australian Government’s Active Transport Fund (ATF) to upgrade the existing footpath along the length of Marine Parade - from Curtin Avenue to North Street.

Repair works on the section of the foreshore retaining wall in front of Carpark No. 1 have commenced.

The 2023/2024 Annual Report was accepted by Council at the February Council Meeting. Electors of the Town of Cottesloe are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 18 March 2025, commencing at 5.30pm in the Lesser Hall.

The Town is currently trialling Containers for Change baskets on a number of bins on the foreshore in north Cottesloe.

The Town would like to provide an update regarding the area of retaining wall/grass terrace currently closed to public access.

The Town has been successful in an application for funding from the State Government and Western Australia Local Government Authority’s Urban Greening Grants Program, to assist the Town in planting trees in Cottesloe.

At the October Council Meeting, Council considered a preliminary report on the SDAU development for 7-11 Station Street, and resolved to not support it. A final report will be considered by Council at the November Council Meeting.

Councillor Melissa Harkins has been elected as the new Deputy Mayor for the Town of Cottesloe.

The Town of Cottesloe has received the resignation of Deputy Mayor, Helen Sadler. Cr Sadler has made the decision to step aside as Deputy Mayor, with effect from the Council Meeting on Tuesday 22 October.

The Town of Cottesloe has prepared a new draft Local Planning Strategy, a document that will set the vision and aspirations for planning over the next 10-15 years. The draft Local Planning Strategy is now open for comment.

The Town of Cottesloe has endorsed a set of development parameters to guide the redevelopment of the iconic Indiana Tea House, providing a path forward for a revised vision for the beachfront site.
