Cottesloe offers many options for free intimate picnics, whether you're bringing your own hamper or stopping at a local eatery to collect some takeaway to enjoy at your destination.

Please note that organised gatherings and photo shoots require prior approval.

The pristine gardens at the Cottesloe Civic Centre are the perfect spot for a picnic. Used regularly for weddings, and photoshoots the scenery is an ideal location to lay down the picnic rug, under the shade of Cottesloe's iconic Norfolk Pine Trees.

After you've eaten, explore the remainder of the grounds to experience a suburban oasis. The grounds includes a small playground, rotunda, free BBQ, picnic tables and public toilets.

Cottesloe has a great choice of parks, whether you're seeking a secluded quiet park for a romantic picnic or a vibrant location where you can watch your children play, there's a park to suit you. 

The Dutch Inn (pictured above) and East Cottesloe playgrounds are popular destinations for families.
