Subdivision/Amalgamation Applications and Clearances
All subdivision (green title and survey-strata) and amalgamation applications are lodged with, and assessed by, the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH), and determined by the Western Australian Planning Commission.
Further information on these applications is available on the DPLH website here
The Town can assist with general information on the feasibility of your proposal (such as whether the lot size allows for subdivision).
Clearance of conditions
If you have cleared all local government conditions on your subdivision approval, an Application for Subdivision Clearance may be lodged with the Town.
Subdivision clearance application requirements are as follows:
- Completed Application for subdivision clearance
- Diagram of survey/Deposited plan.
- Supporting information demonstrating how each local government condition has been met. Photographic evidence may expedite the process.
- Fee ($73 per lot (for not more than 5 lots) or $73 per lot for the first 5 lots then $35 per lot (for 6 to 195 lots).
An Application for Subdivision Clearance can be lodged via email (town@cottesloe.wa.gov.au), post or hand delivery to the Town's Administration Centre.
Once the application has been received, payment can be made over the phone or at the Administration Centre.
