Sculptures by the Sea

Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe is staged on the beautiful Cottesloe Beach, Western Australia. The exhibition is featured from the sea wall, all the way along the sand towards North Cottesloe and on the surrounding grassed areas creating a beautiful sculpture park.

Whalebone Longboard Classic

The Whalebone Classic was formed back in 1998 after local longboarder Peter Dunn, discovered a whale’s rib bone immersed in the surf at Cottesloe and decided to host a competition in memory of the whale’s spirit.

ANZAC Day Ceremony

The Cottesloe RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC Day Service to remember those who served and lost their lives will be held annually on 25 April at Cottesloe Civic Centre, with a parade to the Main Lawn.

NAIDOC Week

Celebrating NAIDOC week with a range of events to acknowledge the past owners of the land, and the Aboriginal histories of our community. From story time readings for the children through to Noongar language sessions, there is something for everyone on the week's event calendar and all members of the community are welcome!

The Cottesloe Civic Centre hosts activities and programs provided by external businesses. Above are programs that are regularly scheduled, non-included events from above also contains Volunteers week and the Annual Lt. Frederick Bell VC Memorial Lecture. The Town also provides well-kept Trails, Beaches and more for the community to enjoy. 
The Annual Lt. Frederick Bell VC Memorial Lecture, supported by the Cottesloe RSL Sub-Branch, honors the heroic acts of individuals like Teddy Sheean VC, the first Royal Australian Navy recipient of the Victoria Cross. This event, attended by a limited audience, features notable speakers such as retired Royal Australian Navy officer Jonathon Sciortino, who delivers insightful speeches reflecting on military history and remembrance.
