The Mayor and four Councillors, elected to office following the 18 October 2025 Local Government Election, have been sworn in at a Swearing-In Ceremony last night at the Town of Cottesloe Council Chambers. 

At the ceremony, Mr Peter Browne OAM, JP witnessed the Declarations from newly elected Mayor Melissa Harkins and returning Councillors Brad Wylynko, Helen Sadler and Chilla Bulbeck, and Lorraine Young. Cr Young stepped down from the role of Mayor at the end of her term on 18 October 2025. 

At the Special Council Meeting held after the ceremony, Councillor Sonja Heath was elected Deputy Mayor.

Mayor Melissa Harkins said, "Thank you to the Cottesloe community for putting their trust in me to serve as their Mayor for the next four years.

"I am very much looking forward to working with all members of the community and achieving great things for Cottesloe."
