At the October Council Meeting, Councillor Melissa Harkins was elected to the role of Deputy Mayor, following the recent resignation of Councillor Helen Sadler.

Councillor Harkins joined Council in 2017 and was re-elected in 2021.

Town of Cottesloe Mayor Lorraine Young said "Councillor Harkins has been a diligent and enthusiastic member of Council over a number of years and has a great deal of knowledge about Council business.

"I welcome her to the role of Deputy Mayor."
