HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?
All bookings require a completed application form which can be found below when you select your preferred venue/garden. Bookings are secured on full payment which includes the bond and hire fee.
Applications sent directly to a staff member will not be accepted.
CAN I MAKE A TENTATIVE BOOKING?
Tentative bookings can not be made. Please complete an application form, bookings are secured on full payment which includes the bond and hire fee.
CAN I MAKE A BOOKING OVER 12 MONTHS IN ADVANCE?
The Town of Cottesloe cannot take any bookings more than 12 months ahead.
Any applications submitted for a date later than 12 months ahead will not be processed.
CAN I VIEW THE TOWN OF COTTESLOE VENUES AND GARDENS?
Our grounds and gardens are open 24/7 to the public, so you are welcome to visit at any time. Should you wish to view the Civic Centre venues, please refer to the photo galleries and website.

IS THERE A BACK UP SPACE IN THE CASE OF BAD WEATHER?
Our War Memorial Hall can be hired as a wet/hot-weather back up, with the condition of three hours outdoor venue hire, if appropriate.

ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION ON CIVIC CENTRE GROUNDS
You will need to fill out a Permission to Consume Alcohol Form which needs to be submitted back to us for CEO approval.
DOES THE TOWN OF COTTESLOE OFFER THE SERVICES OF A WEDDING COORDINATOR?
No, the Town of Cottesloe only offers basic venue hire services as per our terms and conditions. Hirers are welcome to hire external wedding coordinator services if needed.
DOES THE TOWN OF COTTESLOE OFFER WEDDING PACKAGES?
No, the Town of Cottesloe only offers basic venue hire services as per our terms of use.
Everything outside of venue hire including catering, furniture and flower arrangements must be organised by hirers themselves
DOES TOWN OF COTTESLOE HAVE SUGGESTED/APPROVED SUPPLIERS?
The Town of Cottesloe is unable to recommend any suppliers, however we suggest that you refer to socials for a list of suppliers that will fit with your plans.
WHEN CAN I SET-UP AND PACK DOWN?
The time that you book must include time for the setup and pack down of your event.
WHAT ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED AT THE CIVIC CENTRE AND BEACH VENUES?
The following items are prohibited:
- Confetti of any description (including poppers, rose petals, glitter, biodegradable, flower petals, rice, paper, etc.)
- Balloons (helium, latex, vinyl, mylar, etc.)
- Smoke machines
- Any naked flames (including candles, sparklers, electric heaters, humidifiers, portable barbecues, gas bottles, portable stoves or ovens, fireworks, kerosene or spirit type lamps and spit roasts are prohibited items and must not be used in or on any Town facility including parks and reserves.)
Candles without a flame such as battery-operated and electric candles are permitted.
IS THERE A KITCHEN ON-SITE?
The Lesser Hall is the only kitchen at our venues, to be used in line with our terms and conditions. Clients may have to arrange mobile kitchen arrangements if not hiring Lesser Hall facilities - in this case, please confirm these details with the Events Officer before hiring these services as powerpoint access may be needed.
DOES THE TOWN OF COTTESLOE PROVIDE SIGNAGE TO SUPPORT BOOKINGS?
No. As the Civic Centre has multiple venues and is a public venue, we suggest that you provide the signage for your event to ensure that your guests are in the right place.
CAN WE DECORATE THE LESSER HALL, WAR MEMORIAL HALL, ROTUNDA OR TREES?
No adhesive materials can be used and decorations can't be tacked or taped onto the Town of Cottesloe property or trees.
CAN I PUT UP LIGHTS/MARQUEES/ARBOURS IN THE GARDEN?
You are allowed to put stakes in the ground keeping aware of the reticulation which is marked out with blue paint.
The client will need to hire a third party to set the lights up and set up with respect and care for the natural environment and structures at the Civic Centre.
Marquees and umbrellas are allowed in line with our terms and conditions. Umbrellas cannot be pegged into the ground but they can be weighted.
CAN I USE MY OWN CATERER AND VENDORS OR DO I NEED TO USE THE ONE THE TOWN OF COTTESLOE PROVIDES?
The Civic Centre does not have an internal caterer that can be hired out for events. It is the client’s choice who they hire for catering, decorations, set-up, furniture etc.
*They will need to know about kitchen facilities and vehicle access.
CAN I LEAVE EQUIPMENT IN THE LESSER HALL OR WAR MEMORIAL HALL BECAUSE I HAVE A TERM BOOKING?
Clients cannot leave anything in the Lesser Hall as it is a frequently used space and accessed by many. With condition and consideration, some clients can leave their equipment in the War Memorial Hall storage area.
