APACE Verge Design Course

Would you like to design your own verge with local native plants?

Apace is starting a new course in November 2018, run by experts in local plants and design. Your beautiful verge will focus on low maintenance, water-wise plants that give a sense of place and continuity with your local environment.

This is a very practical course and the timing aims to allow you to prepare before the 2019 planting season. We will guide you through the process to know:

• which plants to use
• how many
• how to set them out

Session 1 – Introduction

Introduction, design overview, Council verge guidelines, functional needs, preparation and maintenance overview, and steps to create your drawing base-plan, in preparation for the workshop.

Session 2 – Workshop

Design workshop for your verge.
