Helen Sadler joined Council in 2017 and became Deputy Mayor in 2021. With a long career in General Practice, Helen joined Council as she believes that greater strides can be made in health and well-being when communities have the services and amenities that enable people of all ages, ethnicities and abilities to connect and be physically active. 

Helen serves on multiple committees including the Universal Access and Inclusion Working Group and the Active Transport Working Group. She is a State Councillor for the WA Local Government Association.

Helen has many years' experience on not-for-profit boards and brings her strategic thinking, financial management skills and inclusive operational style to her role.
