Chilla Bulbeck has lived in Cottesloe for 13 years. Her career began in the Australian public service followed by an academic career at Murdoch University, Griffith University and the University of Adelaide. She has taught at Beijing Foreign Studies University and Tokyo University.

Chilla has degrees in economics, law and sociology. In retirement, Chilla is Emerita Professor of Social Sciences at the University of Adelaide and has dedicated herself to social and environmental advocacy work in various non-government organisations.

Chilla enjoys bushwalking, reading, cooking and craft.  She is keen to bring her experience and passions to her role as Councillor while serving the Cottesloe community.
