The library service is jointly funded by the Town of Cottesloe, Shire of Peppermint Grove and the Town of Mosman Park, in partnership with the State Library of Western Australia.
In addition the Library is a member of the Western Suburbs Library Network which shares the catalogue and membership database with other libraries in the region. This means that members of the Cottesloe, Peppermint Grove, Mosman Park Library have direct access to the stock of Claremont, Nedlands and Subiaco libraries. The combined stock size is approximately 132,000 items.

Membership
Anyone can join and there is no charge.
 
Proof of current address must be provided in the form of an official document, such as, a driver’s licence or bank statement, pension card or rates notice etc.
 
A parent or guardian signature is necessary for children under 16 years of age.

 Books for all ages including Large Print; 

 Magazines and daily newspapers;

 "Talking Books" on CD;

 music CDs and DVDs;

 Internet Access; photocopier and printers; free Wifi;

 Meeting rooms for hire;

 Monogram Caffe.

  • On-Line Services - There is no need to come to the library for many services. You can join on line and enjoy free access to:

           E- Books        E-magazines        E-audio books

  • On-Line Homework Help - free access for students from years 4 - 12 (for local residents only).
  • Request and information service – Staff are happy to assist you to find what you want. If it is not in this library we can try to get it from another library.
  • Home delivery service – People who are physically unable to visit the library may apply for a home delivery service.
  • Children’s activities – storytelling sessions for pre-schoolers are held weekly. Holiday activities and family storytelling sessions are also offered.

 Local History

The Community History Library is located within the Grove Library, and collects the history of Cottesloe as well as surrounding suburbs, including documents and archives, oral histories, newspaper clippings and photographs. Many images can be searched on-line at: www.thegrovelibrary.net ; and in addition, the Grove History App presents interesting snippets of Cottesloe history, and can be downloaded free of charge from iTunes or Google Play.
